Pineapple orchid

This orchid is a mat forming epiphyte or lithophyte. The rounded pseudobulbs have distinctive wrinkled ridges giving this orchid the common name of pineapple orchid. The leaf grows to 11 cm long.

The flower stem is to 25 cm with up to 10 flowers. Flowers are green yellow with a distinctive hanging V shape.

This distinctive orchid cannot be confused with any other even when not in flower.
