Rainforest greenhood
This terrestrial orchid grows in wet areas in rainforest edges around Brisbane. It is locally common and will form colonies of plants where the conditions are right.
The rosette has up to 4 stalked leaves to about 80 mm by 25 mm. The flower stem to about 15 cm tall with the flower 20 mm tall. The flower is green with white stripes and fawn towards the tip.
This species can be identified by its green and white flower with a straight horizontal labellum tip. It is similar to Pterostylis curta, but can be distinguished from curta which has a twisted labellum tip.
