This common epiphyte or lithophyte grows in large clumps on trees in rainforests and rainforest verges and rocks in open forests.

The pseudobulbs grow to 10 cm by 30 mm with usually one but sometimes two apical leaves 12 cm by 3 cm.

The flower stem grows to 20 cm with up to 20 drooping flowers. The cupped yellow flowers are 8 mm across with a waxy texture.
